🔆 Light: Bright to medium indirect light is ideal. It’ll tolerate lower light, but expect slower growth and darker, less vibrant leaves. Keep it out of direct sun to avoid scorching.

🌱 Soil: Use a chunky, well-draining mix. Try two parts potting soil, one part orchid bark, and one part perlite. This helps roots breathe and stay strong.

💧 Water: Let the top half of the mix dry before watering again. Congo varieties don’t like soggy feet—empty saucers after watering. In cooler months, let it dry a little more between drinks.

🌿 Feed: During spring and summer, feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to quarter or half strength. Skip feeding in winter while it rests.

☁️ Humidity: Average indoor humidity is fine, but if your air’s dry, a light mist or humidifier will make it thrive. Aim for 50–65% for those lush, glossy leaves.

✂️ Propagation: Cut a stem that includes one node (where a leaf meets the stem). Root it in water or an airy soil mix under bright, indirect light. Pot up when roots are about an inch long.

My Tip: Don’t baby it—Green Congo likes routine. Wipe leaves with a damp cloth every few weeks so it can breathe and show off that shine. Rotate it once a week so it grows evenly and confidently, just like it did under my care.
