Hoya Pubicalyx
This Hoya came straight from my hands. Its trailing vines shimmer with silver-flecked leaves and clusters of starry, fragrant blooms. A perfect mix of hardy and heavenly. Each one’s been raised with patience and care to thrive in your space.
Care from My Hands to Yours:
🔆 Hoyas prefer bright, indirect light — enough to cast a soft shadow. Too much direct sun can scorch leaves, while low light slows growth and flowering.
SOIL
Use a chunky, well-aerated mix. Combine two parts orchid bark, one part perlite, and one part high-quality potting mix. The roots crave air, not soggy soil.
💧 Let the top half of the soil dry before watering. Hoyas handle drought better than drowning. In winter, water sparingly — the roots rest, not swim.
NPK
Feed lightly every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer (¼ strength). Pause feeding in cooler months.
☁️ Average indoor humidity works fine, but they’ll reward you with faster growth and blooms when humidity hovers near 60%. Avoid dry drafts or vents.
✂️ Propagate from a vine cutting with 2–3 nodes. Trim just below a node and root in water or a moist perlite mix in bright shade. Pot up when roots reach 1–2 inches.
⚠️ Mildly toxic if ingested — keep curious pets from snacking.
My Tip:
When it finally blooms, don’t move it. Hoya flowers reappear on the same spurs, and patience always pays off.
